About Event

As women in business, leadership, and entrepreneurship, we are constantly navigating systems that were not built for us. But while we share that common ground, our paths are not identical. Womanhood is not a monolith, and the intersectionalities of our backgrounds bring unique challenges—and incredible, untapped strengths.

Join Okwera Academy and the Cowichan Women’s Business Network (CWBN) for an evening by the water at the beautiful St. John's Academy campus. ElevateHer: Spring Reset is an exclusive, restorative event designed to bring women of all backgrounds together to share learnings, celebrate our differences, and step into the new season with fresh career strategies.

What to Expect:

  • The Radical Reset: A stunning waterfront atmosphere designed to help you shake off burnout. We are redefining "rest" as a non-negotiable tool for sustainable leadership.

  • Cultural Capital: A dynamic panel discussion exploring how our unique lived experiences—especially for women of color—are massive assets in the workforce. We will discuss how to translate your background into a competitive advantage.

  • Allyship & Collective Growth: Honest, empowering conversations about how we can leverage our respective privileges as assets to support each other through systemic barriers.

  • Guided Connection: High-value networking with 30-50 local leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs over light spring refreshments.

Who Should Attend?

Whether you are a woman of color navigating corporate spaces, an entrepreneur scaling your business, or an ally looking to walk the talk and leverage your privilege for community growth—this space is for you. We are combining our strengths to build a more inclusive, resilient local economy.

Dress Code:

Elevated Spring Casual. Think flowy layers, comfortable linens, and your favourite spring colours.

Please note that this dress code is just a suggestion—ultimately, we want you to wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable, authentic, and at ease!

(Note: We will be on the grass by the lake, so please wear flats, wedges, or boots—leave the stilettos at home!)
