ABOUT THIS EVENT
The war in Ukraine has provoked an unprecedented health crisis. Over 50,000 people have lost their limbs and urgently need complex rehabilitation and prosthetics. While thousands await to regain their lost abilities, new victims continue to be wounded, placing additional strain on medical facilities.
Our need for resources and support is greater than ever as we fight on all fronts to help people return to life and save more lives.
The Superhumans War Trauma Center will hold a presentation, followed by a fundraiser to benefit Ukrainians injured by the war.
The Superhumans Center was established in April 2023 with the support of Howard G. Buffett and the First Lady of Ukraine. It serves as a dedicated facility for providing comprehensive psychological support, prosthetics, rehabilitation, and reconstructive surgery services to children, civilians, and former combatants. The center aims to improve the quality of life and promote the well-being of individuals by offering specialized care and resources.
Just in its first year of operation, the Center helped 600 people regain their lost abilities, trained hundreds of specialists, and initiated complex surgical interventions - thus becoming the biggest Center in Ukraine working with complex war trauma. Superhumans has the potential to become a global hub for war trauma treatment and care.
