​Every founder believes a great idea wins. But markets have a vote too. In this talk, Ryan will trace Fintech's brutal swing from the 2021 boom, when VCs showered cash at untenable valuations, through the SVB and First Republic implosion and into the Fintech nuclear winter that followed. The lesson isn't that timing beats execution, it's that timing is the variable founders most often ignore and least often control. We'll talk about how to read the cycle, build for it, and survive long enough to be right.
