About Event

Dr. Eleanor Cooper, former Executive Director of Chattanooga Venture, will lead us through how Chattanooga Venture was able to accomplish the 40 goals that emerged in Vision 2000 in 1985, starting with a short video from the time, "Chattanooga: Community with a Vision,” and taking inspiration from Mai Bell Hurley, the founding chair of Chattanooga Venture. With Eleanor's guidance, we will examine the tasks of visioning what is needed now and figuring out how we might accomplish community-wide goals today.

Dr. Cooper was involved with Chattanooga Venture as a volunteer, a facilitator, a board member, and then the Executive Director, leading the Environmental Forums, the Neighborhood Network, the Facilitators Bank, the Non-profit Incubator, and Re-Vision 2000 in in 1993. She is a native of Chattanooga, the author of three books, and grandmother of two wonderful kids.
