Valar Technologies develops Valar Impact, a decision-intelligence platform that helps municipalities and other public-sector organizations turn fragmented data into a clear, actionable view of wellbeing, vitality and the likely impact of decisions.
The platform combines large volumes of public and organizational data, normalizes complex indicators into comparable insights and uses AI-supported analysis to identify trends, risks and potential courses of action.
Paying customers include the municipalities of Janakkala and Hattula, Nurmijärvi Adult Education Centre and Karin koulu in Rauma.
Valar’s North Star is to bring 20% of Finland’s population—approximately 1.1 million people—within the reach of better, data-informed public decision-making by 2032.
The company is initially focused on establishing a strong position in Finland.
The first potential international markets include Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, the Netherlands and Canada, where the availability and structure of public data support efficient market entry.
The platform is designed to scale across municipalities, wellbeing services counties, educational institutions and other public-sector organizations.
Valar Technologies is raising €150k, with €60k already committed by Ilkka Kaikuvuo and Antti Tarakkamäki, at a €2.0M pre-money valuation.
