Brunch Before the Baseline: Ladies Tennis & Brunch Social đź©·
Come for a tennis lesson and a brunch spread... and leave with 15 new friends and a forehand that is, respectfully, developing.
Join The Fairway Social Club for a beginner/intemediate-friendly tennis + brunch social at Goldman Tennis Center at Golden Gate Park on July 25.
We’ll start with a real brunch spread — banh mi sandwiches, bagels with cream cheese, smoked salmon, pineapple buns, Arsicault croissants, pastries, fruit, coffee, and matcha — then head to the courts for a 90-minute tennis lesson.
This is for the girls who want to try tennis without the country club pressure. Come solo, come with a friend, come if you haven’t picked up a racquet since middle school. You do not need to be good. You just need to show up.

Who We Are
The Fairway Social Club is a Bay Area women’s social club for anyone who wants more plans that feel active, social, and actually worth leaving the house for.
We host beginner-friendly sports, wellness, brunch, and community events for women who want to try new things without the pressure of being good at them.
No membership fees. No country club energy. No “everyone already knows each other” feeling.
Come solo, come rusty, come slightly overdressed for the activity. That’s kind of the vibe.

FAQ
Do I need to know how to play tennis?
No. This event is designed for beginners and intermediates. We’ll have 8 beginner spots and 8 intermediate spots so you’re not thrown into a group that feels too advanced.
What counts as beginner?
You’re a beginner if you’ve never played, haven’t played in years, don’t know the rules, or feel nervous about being on a court. You are very much the target audience.
What counts as intermediate?
You’re intermediate if you can rally a little, have taken a lesson before, or generally know how to hold your own but still want coaching and a social setting.
Do I need to bring a racquet?
No. Equipment is provided. You can bring your own if you have one, but you don’t need to.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable that you can move in. Tennis dress, skirt, leggings, shorts, tank, tee, sneakers — all fine. No need to look like you belong at Wimbledon.
Is brunch before tennis?
Yes. Brunch starts at 12:30 PM, and the lesson runs from 2:30–4:00 PM. We’ll eat, mingle, then head to the courts.
What food is included?
Banh mi sandwiches, bagels with cream cheese, smoked salmon, pineapple buns, Arsicault croissants, pastries, fruit, coffee, and matcha.
Can I come alone?
Yes. Most Fairway Social events are built to be solo-friendly. Come alone, meet people, and we’ll make it easy to talk to the group.
Is this women-only?
Yes. This event is designed as a women’s sports-social experience.
How many people will be there?
This event is capped at 16 people total: 8 beginners and 8 intermediates.
What if I’m bad at tennis?
Perfect. Truly. This is not a performance. This is brunch, community, and learning something new without the pressure.
