Public Vitality Field Assembly
Patterns, blind spots and emerging connections
This session is part of the Public Vitality Camp 2026 and is hosted by the Medulla community together with nextlearning, Dark Matter Labs and Planetary Civics.
Across the Camp, different groups explore questions of governance, infrastructure, ecology, technology and collective capacity. Some tensions and dependencies appear in several places; others only become visible when these inquiries are brought into relation.
What becomes visible when we look at the Camp not as a collection of sessions, but as a connected field of inquiry and action?
The Field Assembly creates a shared moment to connect what is emerging across the Camp. It also brings a Planetary Civics lens to the evening: looking across institutional, social and ecological boundaries and asking which capacities and responsibilities need to be held collectively. Few questions guide the gathering and a growing field map connects insights, people and tensions while leaving space for food, informal exchange and surprise.
Important notes
The Camp format is a volunteer-developed prototype and intentionally simple in how it is organised. Please bring your own drinks and feel free to bring some food to share.
The Public Vitality Camp is a shared learning space for people already working on societal, institutional, technological and ecological challenges. Across the sessions, we explore concrete tensions and ask what enables people, institutions and communities to remain capable of acting under increasingly difficult conditions – and how decisions made today expand or constrain future possibilities.
