Long Live Long Distance: On & Off Long Run
The second session in our series of marathon classics with On.
This Sunday, we're taking on one of the staples of marathon preparation: the On & Off Long Run.
The idea is simple: alternate between faster and easier kilometres while keeping the run continuous.
Main set: 6–8 × (1 km ON / 1 km OFF)
ON → around marathon pace, controlled and comfortable
OFF → easy pace, recover while keeping the legs moving
There are no stops and no traditional interval recoveries. The challenge is to find your rhythm, change gears smoothly and stay in control as the kilometres add up.
We'll split into pace groups and scale the total distance to different levels, so you don't need to be an experienced marathon runner to join.
Pick your shoes for tests!
