Beyond Achievement: What Actually Is Happiness ?
A Femfluence Conversation with Mr. Billy Li, CEO, Greater China, Happiness Studies Academy.
Online | English + Mandarin
For our next Femfluence Conversation, we are interested in: Happiness.
What does the science of happiness can tell us about building a life that feels meaningful and whole? Particularly for women balancing ambition, relationships, family, responsibility and constant change.
Can we be ambitious and happy at the same time? Why can achievement sometimes leave us strangely unfulfilled? How much do our relationships determine the quality of our lives? And as we move through different chapters, should our definition of happiness, and success, change with us?
Joining us is Billy Li, CEO, Greater China of the Happiness Studies Academy (HSA), founded by Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, renowned scholar in science of happiness, and creator of the "Harvard Happiness Course", one of the most popular courses in history of Harvard University. Billy became Tal's student and started his own journey of learning and implementing the science of happiness where he found his calling. Now he is leading HSA in China, and calls himself a happiness journeyer.
Happiness Studies Academy approaches happiness as an interdisciplinary field and uses its SPIRE framework to explore five interconnected dimensions of wellbeing: Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Relational and Emotional.
Billy will then introduce several key ideas from Happiness Studies and practical ways we can apply them to our own lives, followed by an open Q&A.
