Roxanne Bras Petraeus (Nuffield 10), CEO and Co-Founder of Ethena
Few people in any room will have served in Afghanistan, consulted at McKinsey, and sold a startup. Roxanne Petraeus - Rhodes Scholar, Army veteran, and CEO of Ethena - joined the military to pay for Harvard, stayed for the mission, and parlayed that into two startups and a $50M Series B. Her journey from Oxford to the boardroom is a masterclass in converting unlikely experience into founder instinct.
Blake Spahn (Wadham 95), Vice Chancellor, Dwight-Franklin School Group and Founder of Educare Capital Partners
Blake Spahn earned his doctorate in education from Oxford. As the Vice Chancellor of the Dwight-Franklin School Group, he oversees a global network of world-class private schools across seven countries. He founded Dwight Global Online School in 2014 and today it is the #1 Online School in the US. In 2021, he founded Franklin School in Jersey City which was recently recognized as the World's Most Innovative School by T4 Education. Blake was also a founder of Davos Brands with fellow Oxford classmate, Andrew Chrisomalis, where they built and sold Aviation Gin, with their partner Ryan Reynolds, for the highest revenue multiple ever in the beverage industry. Blake now backs the next generation of education founders through Educare Capital Partners.
Jeff Glueck (Brasenose 92), Founder & CEO of Salvo Health
Jeff Glueck is a Marshall Scholar, a former White House Fellow, and a serial founder who has spent decades digitizing industries before they realized they needed it. He co-founded a travel startup that hit $100M in sales in two years and was sold to Travelocity. Then, as CEO of Foursquare, he grew revenue tenfold by transforming the company from a consumer app into a $150M location data business. Now he's doing it again with Salvo Health, having just closed his Series A funding round.
