The Working Parent Support Circle: Working parents raising neurodiverse, medically complex, and higher-need kids.
My son had just turned 3 when he was kicked out of daycare.
So began our story of advocacy, IEPs, education lawyers, special ed, diagnoses, neuropsych wait lists, insurance battles, impossible decisions on how to pay the bills while caring, loving, supporting our complex child.
I held on to a "someday" goal of building a community for working parents with kids who need more.
Last year, I pulled together a group of 6 moms with neurodiverse kids, who I know from my business network. We adorably named ourselves, “Magenta Moms.”
Now it’s time to expand. And please note: This is not for moms only.
Please join Deborah Kurtz, Founder of Magenta Search, and Donna Shea, Founder of the Peter Pan Center, on Thursday, February 26 at 11 am ET to discuss critical ways for working parents of complex kids to survive, thrive, and keep their heads above water.
We all speak the same language. It’s a mix of love, logistics, exhaustion, advocacy, and constant problem-solving.
** We welcome and encourage any C-suite, HR, leaders, managers who are working to understand their employees' challenges to join.**
