About Event

Politics can feel a little twisted these days — so let's untangle some of it over pretzels.

I think if you don't vote, you don't get a say — and the people who do vote end up deciding things for you.

A few friends have told me they feel apathetic about voting, like their vote won't move the needle. Others say they don't feel informed enough on the issues and would rather sit it out.

With Toronto's mayoral election coming up in October 2026, I want to open up a casual space to just talk politics — no agenda, no party lines. What's actually on your mind about the city right now?

This isn't about convincing anyone to vote a certain way. It's about giving people room to say what they think, hear other perspectives, and walk away better equipped to make their own call — including whether or not to vote.

I'm not a political expert, just someone happy to keep the conversation moving.

— Dihan Chandra

Complementary Food:
Soft pretzels from Spent Goods (plant-based, contains gluten) — so grab dinner beforehand :)
