[Free women only hike]: Cercedilla Water Trail (easy)

​Join us for a hike along the Cercedilla Water Trail, a scenic route through the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama featuring tranquil paths, lush forest, and fresh mountain air.

​📍 Meeting point: Moncloa (Bus 684)

​📅 When: Sunday, 13 September, departs 7:45am, be there 20min earlier to start queuing

​The hike is manageable and accessible, with the goal for everyone to enjoy the trail and company. The day prior to the hike we will open a WhatsApp group to facilitate communication.

​Leave the kids, the husband, and the dog at home, this one's 18+ women only 😉

​Plan:

• ​We'll meet at Moncloa for bus 684, please start queuing at 7:25am (departs at 7:45am)

• ​Trailhead starts and ends on Avenida Francisco Ruano in Cercedilla (an 11-minute walk from the 684 bus stop)

• ​Loop trail along the Cercedilla Water Trail (Ruta del Agua)

• ​Expected return to Madrid: Early afternoon

​Prerequisites & what to bring:

• ​Fitness & gear: Comfortable hiking shoes or sturdy trail sneakers

• ​Transport: Bring a Zone C1/C2 transport card or cash/card for the bus

• ​Clothing: Mountain weather can be cooler than central Madrid, so bring layers and a windbreaker

• ​Water & snacks: Bring snacks, a light packed lunch, and at least 1.5L of water

​Cost: Free. You only pay for your public transport. 🪙
