From Vision to Action: Launch & Consultation on the Forum’s Carbon Markets Engagement Strategy
On behalf of the Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities Engagement Forum, an independent, a self-led body hosted by the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM).
We are delighted to invite you to a series of key events taking place during COP30 in Belém, Brazil.
Each of these gatherings contributes to a shared vision: advancing integrity, rights, inclusion and principles of self determination in carbon markets while centering the leadership and lived experiences of Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and Afro-descendant Peoples.
This interactive session is the final session of our 3 sessions hosted at COP30, marks a key milestone in the Forum’s collective journey to shape fair, rights-based, and high-integrity carbon markets. During this event, the Forum will launch its new strategy and accompanying website, and will open an interactive consultation inviting feedback from Indigenous Peoples, local communities, and stakeholders on the Forum’s Strategy. Your experience and feedback will help refine the Strategy to ensure it reflects lived realities — informing future priorities such as traditional ecological knowledge, grievance mechanisms, and community participation.
