About Event

Interested in learning more about the role of corporate policy advocacy and trade association memberships in climate work? Hear from James Browning, Founder and Executive Director of F Minus, an organization that sheds light on lobbyists playing both sides of the climate crisis.

Event Logistics - This is a fully asynchronous, slack-based event:

  • Part 1: A short video will be posted in the #learn-workplace-climate-action slack channel on Monday 12/8 that you can watch at your convenience.

  • Part 2: Then, you can engage directly with James by asking questions in the slack channel comments over the course of the week (12/8 - 12/12).

This AMA will occur entirely in our #learn-workplace-climate-action slack channel, which Work on Climate members can access here. If you’re not a member of Work on Climate yet, click here to join.

Topics discussed will include, but are not limited to:

  • The role of corporate policy advocacy and trade association memberships in climate work

  • The power that lobbyists have to improve or harm climate outcomes

  • How employees can hold their companies accountable for their choice of lobbyists

  • Any other questions you have!

This is a fantastic opportunity that provides you with direct access to practical knowledge you won’t find anywhere else. From navigating career milestones to tackling complex issues in the workplace, our experts bring lived experience and actionable advice tailored to climate professionals.

This is session 10 in a 10-part AMA series, find info about the other AMAs here.

Need Help? Ask your questions in the LWCA slack channel or email our AMA volunteer team (Aaron James and Chris Kelly).
