About Event

We’re excited to host this interactive virtual workshop for the Chief of Staff Network (COSN) community, focused on one of the most overlooked but critical aspects of the role: sustainable energy management.

Chiefs of Staff operate at the intersection of competing priorities, constant context-switching, and high-stakes decision-making. This workshop is designed to help operators better understand how they manage energy, regulate stress in real time, and create more sustainable rhythms for long-term performance.

Date & Time: June 30, 2026
Location: Zoom

This practical session will be led by Carrie McMahon, a current Chief of Staff with 10+ years in tech leadership and a yoga teacher specializing in mindfulness and stress recovery. Drawing from her experience building the ALIGN Method after her own burnout experience, Carrie will guide participants through practical techniques and frameworks specifically designed for high-performing operators.

This is not a productivity seminar or a passive webinar. It’s a hands-on, reflective session built around real-world scenarios Chiefs of Staff face every day.

What we’ll explore

  • How to recognize personal energy patterns and early signs of depletion

  • The difference between sustainable energy and borrowed energy

  • How mental, emotional, and physical demands compound over time

  • Practical breathwork techniques for transitions and high-pressure moments

  • How nervous system regulation impacts strategic thinking and executive presence

  • Ways to create more sustainable operating rhythms in fast-moving environments

Workshop format

This will be a live, interactive workshop combining guided exercises, reflection, discussion, and practical techniques participants can immediately apply in their day-to-day work.

Participants will leave with:

  • Practical techniques for regulating stress and resetting between meetings

  • A clearer understanding of their personal energy patterns

  • Tools for navigating high-pressure environments more sustainably

  • A framework for identifying sustainable vs. borrowed energy

  • An energy audit framework to continue building awareness over time

Who is this event for?

This session is designed for Chiefs of Staff, senior operators, BizOps leaders, and professionals supporting executive teams who want to operate more sustainably without sacrificing effectiveness.

If you’re navigating constant context-switching, decision fatigue, or the pressure of always needing to be “on,” this workshop is designed with your role in mind.
