Debate: "Christianity will destroy the West"

​Christianity is making a return among young Americans. To some, this revival is a necessary step toward reversing the West’s social, ethical, and cultural decline. To others, it represents the final deathblow to Western civilization, reinforcing the very forces that led to its current instability.

Format

The Hamilton Society is joined by esteemed guest, Dr. Yaron Brook, Chairman of the Board of the Ayn Rand Institute.

​The format will be familiar to attendees of previous debates, albeit slightly modified to increase surface area for clash between Dr. Brook, Hamilton Society members, and the caucus. This format will not replace the monthly debates.

​For first-timers, note that this is not a 1v1 debate. The Hamilton Society model is parliamentary: any caucus member will be able to speak, time permitting. To be prioritized, contact the Chief Whip (number below) with a summary of your argument.

Logistics

Dress code is strictly formal: suit and tie for men, equivalent for ladies. Ties are not optional.

​Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 7:30pm. Debate will begin at 8pm with doors closing at 8:15pm. Drinks will be served throughout the night.
