About Event

Welcome to Sunday Volleyball - weekly co-ed indoor 6v6 play!

Whether you're a long-time regular or joining us for the first time, our gym is built for experienced intermediate players looking for fast-paced play, high-energy competition, and a supportive community.

New Attendees are asked to review the "Player Evaluation & Court Standards" section at the end.

Zero Bench Time: Sign-ups are strictly capped to match court capacity (up to 48 players on 4 courts)—you play the entire session with no sitting out.

Punctuality: Please arrive by 5:15 PM to get your shoes on, stretch, and warm up so you are ready to play at 5:25 PM. All players should plan to stay until 9:00 PM so teams remain complete for all attendees.

Culture & Fair Play: Positive attitudes and supportive play are expected on and off the court. Play hard, support your court, and keep net play safe.

Refund Policy: Refunds are issued only if:

  1. The event host adjusts or trims the roster, or

  2. You cancel early enough for a replacement player to sign up and pay (minus a $2 processing fee).

Waitlist: If a spot opens up, waitlisted tickets are automatically approved and charged. If your plans change, please log into Luma to withdraw from the waitlist to avoid automatic charges.

Player Evaluation & Court Standards

This is a vetted session for experienced players, not an open gym or training clinic. Play is fast-paced and strictly in-system. All new participants attend under Provisional Status for 1 to 3 sessions while observed by our Player Review Committee. Evaluators observe gameplay silently and do not provide on-court coaching or individual diagnostic write-ups.

To ensure games are safe, competitive, and consistent, players must meet these baseline standards:

  • Indoor 6v6 Experience: Minimum of 1+ years of recent, continuous indoor 6v6 league or tournament play. (Note: Sand/outdoor habits and casual rec open gyms do not translate to our court tempo or rotational structure.)

  • In-System Defense & Coverage: Automatic execution of wings-up / middle-back base defense. Disciplined transition footwork off the net to the 10-foot line, clean hitter coverage, and strict net/centerline body control.

  • Serve Receive & Ball Control: High platform consistency. You consistently deliver routine serves and free balls to the target (Zone 2/3) to keep a multi-option offense running.

  • Setting & Offense: Clean, predictable placement with consistent height and distance off the net. Hitters consistently approach on tempo, show body control in the air, and make high-percentage decisions (tooling, roll shots, or resetting broken plays rather than swinging blindly into the net or block).

  • Court IQ & Setter Priority: Strict adherence to setter priority (#2 ball) and three-touch team rallies. You understand offensive flow and do not short-circuit system play.

Evaluation Outcomes:

  • Qualified Status: Players who consistently meet these standards are cleared for ongoing registrations.

  • Developing Status: If the committee determines a player is not yet playing at the gym’s current standard or tempo, they will receive Developing status (a standard 6–12 month pause to build reps in other leagues or clinics; any unauthorized registrations during this window will be canceled and refunded).

  • Immediate Mid-Session Removal: To protect safety and game quality, the committee reserves the right to end a provisional player’s session early with a full refund if safety or core intermediate standards are severely unmet.

By registering, all players confirm their play consistently meets these standards and agree to accept the committee's final determination gracefully and without debate.
