​In this tender debut, a young Tarkovsky reveals the poetic sensibility that would define his legendary career. Seven-year-old Sasha, burdened by parental expectations and his violin lessons, discovers an unlikely friendship with Sergei, a steamroller operator working the streets of Moscow.
