Coworking Day + lunch talk: the science of making friends
Limen runs focused [co]working sessions in Amsterdam. Small groups work side by side, regularly. Come a few times and the faces become familiar. That's how real connections start.
We meet at different beautiful places, this time — at Localie Hub, a new coworking and cultural space. Localie is known for its networking trips, culture events and expat meetups, and now it opens its doors for people to work there too. Come and see if it could be your new place to work.
Who this is for
For people who want to get real work done and talk to good people in the breaks. Bring the task you keep putting off. Leave with it done, and with a few people you'll want to see again.
This day has a talk at lunch
At 13:30, while people finish their food, Paul Kozlov gives a short talk: The science behind how adults actually make friends.
Meeting new people is easy, but turning them into friends takes more work. Paul walks through what research says about how that happens, what makes a new connection stronger, and when apps help or get in the way.
About Paul. Paul runs Limen.to. Before that he co-founded Random Coffee, a service for 1-on-1 meetings that help people make friends. For the last year he has been studying what science knows about human connection. He writes about it in the Relationship Tech newsletter | Linkedin
