About Event

Were you the responsible one? The one who kept the peace, anticipated everyone's needs, and put yourself last without anyone ever asking you to? Do you feel like you're a people pleaser who has a hard time saying no now?

If that sounds familiar, this is for you.

Grey Couch Counselling and Psychotherapy is hosting a webinar unpacking what it really means to be the "good" daughter, where these patterns come from, how they show up in your daily life, and what it looks like to start navigating them differently. Join Hanna Van Alphen (RP, Art Therapist) and Julianna Harry (RP, Founder) both eldest daughters as we chat through our own experiences and provide tips to help you through your own!

We'll cover:

  • Why so many daughters find themselves in a caretaking role and what that does to your sense of self

  • The patterns that follow us into our relationships, careers and identity

  • How to recognize the difference between obligation and genuine choice

  • How these experiences show up across different cultures and backgrounds

You'll also have the opportunity to ask questions live and connect with others who share this experience.

This isn't about blaming your family or abandoning your values. It's about understanding the role you've been playing and deciding, consciously, who you want to be.
