LLMs provide a powerful generative substrate, but coherent agency requires a cognitive architecture around them: memory, goals, planning, world models, simulation, causal reasoning, verification, and action. The talk explores how these components could transform an LLM “harness” into a persistent system capable of reasoning and acting through time.
