​How are our daily decisions impacting our collective future? Are we building towards a future that we actually want to live in?

• ​Leading AI researchers and tech leaders give between a 5-80% chance of human extinction or severe human disempowerment by the end of the century (75 years away), due to our irresponsible development and deployment of AI.

​

• ​Or AI could lead to unimaginable human flourishing, and addressing our deepest challenges.

​

• ​And then there's climate and nature collapse, threats to psychological sovereignty, cognitive decline due to tech and AI, increasing inequality, challenges to basic rights and democracy ... and the potential for leveraging tech and AI to help in all of those.

• ​People in AI safety and other impact fields are often faced with ideas and innovations that potentially help reduce risk in some threat areas, while exacerbating threats in others. Tech and entrepreneurship also likely heavily undervalues democracy preservation / strengthening in their personal values and financial calculations, since it's critical to a free and functioning innovation economy, but normalized and under-appreciated. When is a risk too great that it outweighs the potential positives?

• ​People, entrepreneurs, investors, etc are often not connecting their current decisions around what their organizations are doing, and their portfolio/investment decisions, with the future they are contributing to creating.

• ​How do we adapt our design, innovation, tech, policies, governance, behaviors to mitigate the threats and contribute to a flourishing and resilient future?
