About Event

In this Community Call, Todd Bush and Nick Smart discuss the landscape of spatial mapping and why maps are a core component of an operations system. In oil and gas, workflows almost always start or end with a map. But the tools available to most teams fall into two camps: enterprise platforms that are powerful but require dedicated GIS expertise, and lightweight consumer tools that are not built for professional workflows.

We discuss what that gap looks like in practice and what it means for teams trying to work with spatial data. We also explore what it looks like when the barrier to entry comes down, and look at how teams are making maps and spatial data accessible across organizations.

Speakers:
Nick Smart (Forward Deployed Engineer at Collide)
Todd Bush (COO at Collide)
