Commerce Convivium: Dancing with the System
Most Shopify agency dinners follow the same script. Someone walks you through a deck, explains why Shopify is the right call, and sends you home with a tote bag and the uncomfortable feeling that the best part was the canapés.
We architected this one to be different.
We won't have a shallow pitch deck disguised as substance, we won't have a "launch checklist" you can get from the Shopify documentation, and we won't have forced optimism about how smooth your migration will be.
So what will we have, instead?
First, an honest chat. We've invited a handful of commerce operators who've been (or are going) through an enterprise replatform to share their lived experience—outstanding wins, dramatic failures and all. We'll open the evening with a peer-to-peer roundtable. Away from prying eyes, you'll get the chance to ask the questions you've always wanted but have been afraid to ask.
Second, a great time. After the roundtable, we'll treat you to a private rooftop dinner where the conversation continues—looser, deeper, perhaps crazier. The kind that doesn't happen at conferences, because at conferences everyone is selling something.
And finally, an unconventional bedtime read. As an attendee, you'll get an early preview of our upcoming Field Guide to Enterprise Shopify Migrations. The guide is our attempt to write honestly the messy middle of large-scale replatforms: the places where best practices stop working, the human dynamics you couldn't have anticipated, the gap between what vendors promise and what they deliver.
The Field Guide is unconventional, messy, and opinionated.
It's built from years of supporting eight- and nine-figure brands through their most complex replatforms, screwing up, learning from it, and giving it another try.
It's the resource we wish we had when we started on this fun, but sometimes exasperating, journey.
Above all, it's a labor of love—a gift from us to you.
We hope you'll like it.
