Meditators of all levels are welcome to participate! Beginner friendly. Some participants have done multiple Vipassana courses. We will have a light check-in, followed by three 15-minute guided meditation sessions and a brief opt-in reflection🙏😁.
You are welcome to drop-out after each session.
Sessions are focused on developing your concentration and focus. Sessions include:
Concentrating on one spot with open eyes;
Concentrating on intentional breathing;
Concentrating on natural breath.

Each guest is invited to share their insights, challenges and learnings during the self-refection part, but it's not mandatory.
Self-reflection questions may include:
What difficulties did you encounter, such as pain, discomfort, other sensations, externals sounds, smells, or mental distractions (e.g. thinking about the future or the past)
What positive experiences did you have, such as clarity of mind, prolonged concentration, or deep subtle sensations?
Were distractions brief or prolonged?
Were distractions emotionally intense?
What do you think was the root cause of the distractions? Can you remember a particular feeling or thought that led to distractions?
What triggered you to realize you were distracted?
Is it easy to refocus after a distraction?
Did the same distractions recur, or were they different each time?
I also host daily meditations over zoom, 6:30 am and 9 pm Pacific Daytime.
Additionally, I offer free individual Vipassana meditation sessions that include breath work, thought labeling, body scans, river of thought exercises, and metta (sign up here https://matthew-vipassana.youcanbook.me).
We are hosting this event in the meditation room. It's usually very quiet on Saturday mornings, but I also bring earplugs in case there are other people in adjacent rooms.
There are plenty of pillows in the room, but you are welcome to bring your own meditation pillows/mats/benches.
