Toni Shoola (she/her) - Senior Connection, Culture & Operations Lead, RSA US
Toni cares deeply about how people experience the spaces they’re in. She’s intentional about creating environments where people feel heard, valued, and genuinely supported, and aspires to bring a thoughtful balance of structure and compassion to everything she does.
Her work is grounded in a long-standing commitment to equity and justice, with a focus on understanding and challenging the systems that shape people’s lives. Over the past two years, her work has centered on supporting the field of social connection, including contributing to a global action learning network. She has spent many years supporting nonprofit and community-based efforts, often stepping in wherever she’s needed to help things move forward. She’s especially drawn to spaces that foster honest dialogue, healing, and connection, including work centered on race, reconciliation, and advocacy for children and families.
As a mom of a neurodivergent child and someone previously involved in the child welfare system, Toni brings both lived experience and deep empathy to how she shows up—in her work and in her community. After an especially intense season of life over the past year and a half, she is also intentionally focusing on caring for herself and her nervous system, recognizing that sustainability matters.
Based in Ohio, she enjoys playing games, exploring nature, and spending time with her friends, family, and cat.

Stephen Morris (he/him) - Co-Founder, SparkAnew
I’m President of Stellar Science, a scientific software company tackling some of the most complex modeling and simulation challenges in defense and research. Since joining in 2011, I’ve helped grow the company from 20 to over 100 employees—supporting exceptional developers and scientists as we build technology that truly matters.
Alongside my work in tech leadership, I’m an artist, creative entrepreneur, and lifelong student of personal transformation. I co-founded SparkAnew, where we’re building SparkPlace—a platform designed to help people discover “third spaces” where community, comfort, and creativity converge.
At the heart of everything I do is my Faith. I became a Bahá’í in 2006, a turning point that reshaped how I think about leadership, service, and growth. That journey led me to SWiM—Spiritual Work in Motion—a personal framework that integrates leadership, creativity, and inner work into a single practice of intentional movement and presence.
My personal mantra is: “Color the World with Your HUE—Honor, Unity, Excellence.” These virtues guide how I lead teams, build organizations, create art, and show up for my family and community. I care deeply about aligning values with execution, discipline with creativity, and ambition with service. If you believe leadership can have soul—or you’re exploring how creativity fuels resilience, innovation, and meaningful growth—I’d love to connect.

Ways to Support the Joyful Connection Masterclass
For the past three years, the Joyful Connection Masterclass has been offered through invitation and complimentary tickets. That approach helped us ensure the right people were in the room and created the thoughtful, generous culture that many of you have experienced.
As the Connection Crew continues to grow, we’re experimenting with a community-supported model so the program can remain sustainable while staying accessible to everyone.
New Ticket Model
Name Your Price — Suggested Contribution $30
Minimum: $10
Choose the amount that feels right for you.
Your contribution helps support:
The hosts who design these experiences
The tools and support team needed to produce these high quality experiences
Providing additional connection and community events/resources
If contributing isn’t possible right now, you’re still welcome here. Connection has always been the priority.
A Note on Contribution
Most of us are used to contributing to things we value.
A yoga class.
A favorite café.
A workshop that helps us grow.
Connection spaces are newer territory for many people.
By offering a name-your-price model, we’re inviting the community to help shape what supporting connection work looks like.
Some will contribute the suggested amount.
Some more.
Some less.
What matters most is that we keep building spaces where people feel seen, heard, valued, and understood.
Invite a Friend
Connection Crew grows through personal invitations.
If you’ve attended before, feel free to share your complimentary promo code with someone you believe would benefit from being part of the experience.
The magic of these rooms comes from who gets invited into them.
Grandfathered Promo Codes
Many of you have received complimentary promo codes in the past.
Those codes will continue to work during our transition period over the next several months.
We deeply appreciate the people who helped shape this community early on, and we want to make sure the transition feels smooth and fair.
Over time, we’ll gradually shift away from promo codes toward the community-supported model.
