A toast to 29 and to many s'more

ocean swallows sun

jealous stars peek wistfully

you, bonfire witnesses

laughter fortified

wind, carries afterimages

into honest couplets

ker'sene flames polish

skin of a golden apple

that I will ne'er eat

and then there/there at 9 pm.
