Polypharmacy and Medication Review in an Elderly Patient
Free Open Access PESCI Live Discussion
This Thursday at 6:00 PM Melbourne time, we will have a free PESCI live discussion focused on a very practical and high-yield GP presentation.
Topic: Polypharmacy and Medication Review in an Elderly Patient
We will discuss how to approach a 75-year-old patient who presents to the GP clinic requesting repeat prescriptions for multiple regular medications, with limited clinical information available. This is a common but important PESCI-style scenario because it tests medication safety, risk identification, structured history-taking, clinical reasoning, and safe prescribing.
The discussion will focus on how to take a focused medication-centred history, identify key issues of concern, organise the problem list, and think like a safe Australian GP in this situation.
This session is open to everyone, so please feel free to join and share it with friends or colleagues who may benefit from PESCI preparation.
The recording and revision notes will be available only for currently enrolled members.
A summary infographic from the discussion will be shared in the Telegram group after the session.
Time: Thursday, 6:00 PM Melbourne time
Access: Free open live session
