About Event

​In country after country, wealth and income inequality are widening. Wealth and power are being concentrated in ever fewer hands, while many face declining living standards, shrinking public services and precarious work. This is not inevitable. It is the result of policy choices - and it demands a global response.

​ITUC, Oxfam International, the Fight Inequality Alliance, and Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies invite you to a side event during the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week:

​This event will bring together trade unionists, civil society, academia, governments, and international organizations to discuss what an International Panel on Inequality could make possible: and independent evidence base and shared analysis to help turn the tide on inequality.

​Coffee and tea will be served from 9:00 AM.
