'Learna Live': The Feedback Tax
'Learna Live':
The Feedback Tax
Giving feedback is the skill every team wants to get better at...and keeps avoiding.
Teams have plenty of good intentions but when it comes to the crunch, lose the nerve for saying the hard thing. Nice feels safer than honest, so the hard conversation gets postponed, then softened, then dropped altogether.
The bill still comes. Just later, and with interest. Every skipped feedback conversation is a small tax on how fast a team moves, how they learn and how much they trust each other. Pay it long enough and you end up with a "nice" culture that can't actually tell you what's what.
In this session, our panel will get into why we struggle with feedback, what that avoidance is really costing, and what it takes to build a team that can say the hard thing and stay close.
