📍Melbourne - Last Gathering for 2026 Generalist World Meet up 🌀
Melbourne Generalists!
Join us for our final Generalist World Melbourne meetup for 2026.
If your career and professional identity don’t fit neatly in a single box, this is the community for you.
What to Expect:
We’re closing out 2026 with a moment to reflect on what you want more of, and less of, in 2027. Write a note to your future self about this year’s wins and lessons, and your hopes and intentions for the year ahead. We’ll keep it safe and give it back to you at our first event in 2027.
The rest of the night follows our classic “not your typical networking event” format: genuine conversations with people from diverse fields, whether you’re a designer, scientist, writer or anything in between. You’ll talk across boundaries and discover how other fields can spark new ways of thinking.
You don’t need to be a GW member to join us, everyone is welcome.
Why Attend?
Fresh perspectives: Get new ideas from people outside your field (think of it as your new brains trust)
Shared experience: Swap resources, stories and tips, and meet potential collaborators.
Genuine connections: Meet like-minded, like-hearted people. You never know what collaboration, project or perspective could spark from a single conversation.
Community: Celebrate being a generalist in a room full of people who get it.
Food & Drinks: Buy-your-own food and drink is available at the bar. This event is generously supported by our venue partner, Brick Lane Brewing Co.
Who can Join?
Everyone’s welcome! You don’t need to be part of a specific industry or community—if you’re curious and open to exploring ideas, we’d love to see you there.
This meetup is run by Melanie Calleja and Skye Bennett and organised by Generalist World - the community where generalists belong. You'll find everything you need to grow in your career - support, opportunity, lots of learning and great new connections.
