About Event

This session is part of the Introduction to Political Technology course at Newspeak House. This is a closed session for Fellowship Candidates and Faculty.

This session will feature Ripple Effect, the game of Climate Security. This game was designed within the UK Government to help players think through climate issues from a variety of different perspectives in a challenging environment. Drawn from real world case studies, we'll explore the interplay between supranational, national and subnational groups.

This classroom session will show you either how to, or how not to (depending on if you agree with the design), create a game from a scenario that can quickly immerse players in the perspectives, incentives and decisions of key groups.

The game can support up to six players.

Alex Vince is the faculty member for the Wargaming module. He is a serving Civil Servant who has been utilising wargaming techniques over the last decade.
