Claritea: steep out for a moment
Good tea. Good company. A little time to just be.
We live in a world that is always asking us to do more.
Move faster. Reply sooner. Build something. Learn something. Make something of our time.
And with AI making everything faster still, even our quiet moments can start to feel like opportunities to be productive.
CLARITEA is an invitation to do none of that.
For two hours, we’re going to sit around a table, drink good tea and do something radical. Slow down and take our time doing nothing much in particular.
Theo from Dark Matter Tea will guide us through a traditional gong fu cha ceremony, sharing aged pu’er (fermented for more than 10 years) and some of the history and heritage behind it. Between rounds, we’ll have a few questions and activities to help us pause, reflect and perhaps — because it is tea — spill a little tea too.
This isn't a networking event. There’s no productivity hack, life plan or grand breakthrough waiting for you.
Just a small table, good tea, interesting people and a few hours to appreciate being here.
And whatever gets shared around the table?
Stays around the table ;)
Your Hosts: Shilpa & Theo
We met at 18 and 20 and, much like a good pu’er cake, have spent almost 20 years fermenting through life together; through the good bits, the messy bits and everything in between.
And after spending countless hours sitting across a table from each other over cups of tea and having conversations about absolutely everything and finding solace in the moment, we thought:
Why not invite more people to the table?
So we wanted to share it with you.
Because just like tea, some things get better with time.
Friendships do.
Conversations do.
And perhaps our lives do too.
A small gathering by Kali Club × Dark Matter Tea
Kali Club has spent the last few years creating spaces for people to connect, reflect and build an intentional life.
Dark Matter Tea began when Theo took over his uncle’s tea business, carrying forward a family tradition and a love for tea that deserves to be shared more widely.
