Coffee with a Cause: Community Safety Engagement
Start your morning with purpose, connection, and a powerhouse panel at Coffee with a Cause, our monthly community conversation series that brings people together over coffee and shared impact.
This month’s program, Community Safety Engagement, features five local leaders who are helping Central Ohio think differently about what safety really means and how we create it together. From neighborhood connection and restorative practices to civic engagement, public service, healing-centered work, and regional planning, this conversation brings together people doing the work from the ground up and at the systems level.
Hear from Jeremy Thompson, a highway safety leader with the Ohio Department of Transportation, who brings an important perspective on how roadway design, pedestrian safety, and transportation planning shape safer communities; Vanesa Mora, Neighborhood Liaison with the City of Columbus, who works directly with residents and neighborhoods to strengthen civic connection; Rev. Diane DiBiasi, of Healing Rose, who brings a healing-centered perspective to community care and connection; Chet Ridenour, Founder of Good Neighbor Network, who is focused on building stronger relationships between neighbors; and and Jordan Petrov, Senior Planner with the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, who brings a regional perspective on how planning, mobility, and community design influence safety and quality of life.
Moderated by Mallory Workman, Community Relations Specialist at the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Board Member at CYP Club Cares, this discussion will offer fresh perspective, real-world experience, and practical ways to get involved in creating safer, more connected communities across Central Ohio.
