About Event

Best Time: Late June – August
Best Stargazing Weekends: June 12–15, July 10–13, August 7–11 (Perseid meteor shower peak Aug 11–13).
Where to Camp: Dispersed camping along Stillwater Pass Road near Grand Lake.
Kayaking: Shadow Mountain Reservoir – calm water ideal for kayaking and paddleboarding.
Best Hike (<10 miles): Cascade Falls Trail – ~7 miles round trip with waterfalls, forests, and lake views.

Additional Activities: 🫎 Moose Safari in Kawuneeche Valley: Early morning wildlife drive for moose, elk, fox inside Rocky Mountain National Park, .🎭 Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre: Surprisingly famous theater company that runs Broadway-level productions all summer. 🛶 Historic Grand Lake Boat Tour: Take a boat tour across Colorado’s largest natural lake – Grand Lake Marina operates.
