About Event

NeuroDynamic Breathwork® refers to a specific protocol which involves a conscious connected breathing technique accompanied by specially curated music. It can be practiced as a stand-alone inner exploration practice or as a part of intentional integration of a particular experience.

The main premise of this modality is that our Inner Guiding Intelligence – IGI – will only allow us to access that which we have the capacity to deal with. One of the up-to-date observed and inferred neurophysiological mechanisms behind its effects suggests that accessing of the suppressed emotional material is facilitated by a temporary breathwork-induced change in CO2 and oxygen ratios reducing the Default Mode Network (DMN) activity and, by doing so, allows access to the parts of the brain that store unprocessed emotions and are usually ‘overpowered’ by DMN.

IMPORTANT. Same as most somatic practices, breath-work has some contraindications. It is important that you keep yourself safe and familiarize yourself with the health information here before securing your ticket: Open Google Form

It will be assumed that all attendees will have read and/or watched the presentation about the contraindications and will have made an informed decision to participate.

If, after familiarizing yourself with the contraindications information you are unsure, please feel free to reach out to the facilitator at lina@redefineandrewire.co.uk. We will do our best to advise you.

What the session will look like:

• Introduction, Q&A, settling in and coming together – 20-30 minutes

• Breathwork – 60-70 minutes

• Sharing/integration circle – 20-30 minutes What to bring/prepare:

• Plenty of cushion/pillows/padding to put around yourself to keep yourself safe from hitting sharp/hard corners in case of vigorous movement

• Closed container of a cold drink (water is best as it has neutral taste)

• Eye cover (eye mask, scarf or anything to serve eye cover function)

• A bowl to spit in (just in case)

• Around-the-ear headphones (wired are best, if you have them)

• Best to join using laptop (rather than phone or tablet) for better sound quality

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

Lina Jankauskaite is a PsyCare UK-trained, trauma-informed, metaphysically curious psychologist and emotional wellbeing coach. Over the years, in varying capacities and roles, she has supported people who found themselves in vulnerable situations and states.

Lina holds a BSc in Psychology and is nearing the end of her MSc studies in Psychedelics: Mind, Medicine and Culture. She is a certified coach, a member of the Association for Coaching, and practises in accordance with its Code of Ethics.

In her practice, Lina mostly helps people learn to pause and notice what is going on inside and around them, and to become equipped and comfortable with balancing surrender to what is unfolding with retaining and exercising agency. This happens through body-based practices such as breathwork and conscious dance, with the insights that arise from noticing then integrated through reflective talking, NLP, mandala painting and more, woven in and around the body-based work.

In her work, Lina is committed to de-pathologising ethics and to staying close to people’s lived realities at any given time, especially the practicalities and each person’s capacity to fit wellbeing and ongoing integration practices into everyday life.
