Ember Sidequest Weekend

​One weekend in the cabin with the Ember residents. Bring a project you're working on, however early. Ten spots available.

​Ember is a residency program in a cabin in the Italian Alps for people building something of their own. For one weekend, we open the door.

​Fabrizio Capobianco, Partner at The Liquid Factory, is joining on Saturday evening for an informal chat on how to do work you love.

​You come up Saturday, you work on your own project, we eat together, you sleep at the cabin, you work some more, you go home Sunday afternoon. That's the whole format. No programme in the conference sense: no pitches, no demo day, no round of introductions where everyone says what they do for a living.

​WHO IT'S FOR

​Come with whatever you're working on. It does not have to be a company, and it does not have to be far along. An idea you have not started yet, a side project you touch on Sundays, something you have been building for two years: all fine. Early is better, if anything. We care that you bring it and that you actually work on it for two days.

​WHAT'S THERE

• ​A three-floor cabin, completely surrounded by nature

• ​Five rooms, two or three beds each, every room with its own bathroom

• ​A fully equipped kitchen

• ​Starlink wifi

• ​A mountain outside the window

​MUST BRING

• ​Bed sheets, a towel, and a sleeping bag or a blanket

• ​Shoes that handle a hill

​WHAT IT COSTS

​Sleeping at the cabin is free. Food and travel are on you. You can grab discounted takeaway from a local restaurant we partnered with, or just cook your own stuff in the kitchen.

​GETTING THERE

​Plan to be up at the cabin by lunchtime on Saturday (around 12:00 PM). We wrap up on Sunday around 5:00 PM.

​It works by car and it works by train from Milano Centrale. We'll send you the exact details once you have a spot. If you come by train, someone with a car will pick you up in Sondrio; if you drive, we'll match you with someone who needs a seat.
