Bitcoin Pizza Day 2026

​Back in 2010, a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz made what would become one of the most famous purchases in Bitcoin history. He paid 10,000 Bitcoin for two pizzas, marking the first widely recognized real-world Bitcoin transaction. At the time, it was just a fun experiment proving Bitcoin could actually be used as money. Today, “Bitcoin Pizza Day” is celebrated around the world as a reminder of how far Bitcoin has come in just a few short years.

This group is Bitcoin-focused but everyone is welcome to attend. Come meet local Bitcoiners, ask questions, share ideas, and help grow the East Texas Bitcoin community.
