Park Day ☀️ Cordata Park
Park Day is our weekly outdoor meetup for homeschool families. It's a great way to get connected in the homeschool community for both the kids and us parents!
This week we're hanging out at Cordata Park!
Cordata is a beautiful park with a nice playground, a parkour course, a pump track, pickleball and basketball courts with trails to explore. The splash park is open during the summer months, so bring your swimsuit if that's your thing. We usually gather somewhere near the swings or playground, but if you can't find us, feel free to text or call me (405-612-7823)! See ya there!

New to Park Day? Here's what to know
⏰What time does it start?
We say 2:45, but most families roll in closer to 3:00. Come whenever works for you.
⏳How long does it go?
In summer we often hang out until after 5. In winter, when it's wet or chilly, we usually wrap up around 4:30.
🌦️Do people really show up every week?
Yes — there's a core group each week. Turnout shifts with weather and how central the park is, but even on rainy days or holidays, a few families still make it out.
👧🧒What ages are the kids?
All ages are welcome. Right now most kids are 10 and up (some come straight from Running Start classes at Whatcom), but we'd love more younger kids in the mix. If you've got littles, come help keep Park Day thriving for all ages.
📢Do I have to RSVP to attend?
You don't have to RSVP, just come when you can. But RSVPing here on Luma helps other families connect and see who is attending!
👋Should I let someone know I'm coming?
Yes, please! It's hard to tell who's part of Park Day just by looking, and we'd hate to miss connecting with you. A heads-up helps us watch for you and make sure you and your kids get introduced to the group.
📬How do I stay in the loop?
Subscribe to this Luma calendar so you never miss a week — or email candice@thegreatwanderlust.com to get added to our Monday morning reminder email.
🍿Bringing snacks?
A few of our kids have allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame. If your snacks include those, we'd really appreciate having your kids eat away from the playground and wash up after. Thanks for helping to keep our allergy families safe and worry-free!
