​נולדתי ב-1972, אני נשוי לטליה, אב לחמישה ילדים וחי עם משפחתי במושב אמירים שבגליל.

​מ-1988 ועד היום, עולם הכדורסל הוא חלק בלתי נפרד מחיי. במהלך שנות פעילותי הייתי שחקן מוביל בקבוצות שאיתן הגעתי להישגים יוצאי דופן, ביניהן מכבי תל אביב, הפועל ירושלים, הפועל גליל עליון, אוניברסיטת קונטיקט ונבחרת ישראל.

​ב-2002 התמודדתי עם מחלת הסרטן ובעקבותיה שיניתי את אורחות חיי באופן מהותי.

​היום, אני מרצה ומעביר סדנאות בארץ ובעולם, שנועדו לקהלים מכל הסוגים ובני כל הגילאים. במפגשים אלה אני מגולל את סיפור חיי ונותן כלים ועצות שאותם הפקתי מתהפוכות החיים.

​הכדורסל בשבילי לא היה רק משחק. הוא היה ה"משחק", משחק החיים. החיים בכל הדרם הופיעו בפניי דרך הכדורסל עם כל ההצלחות והכישלונות, הציפיות והאכזבות, הפחד והתקווה, העצב והשמחה.

​במהלך השנים התבהר לי שמשחק הכדורסל היה מתנה מופלאה שדרכה התאפשר לי ללמוד על עצמי, על החיים, ובעיקר לגדול ולהתפתח כאדם.

​יסודות וערכים שלמדתי הודות למשחק כמו עבודת צוות ושיתוף פעולה, התמודדות עם משברים והצלחות, מידות של התמדה ונחישות, חדווה ויצירה, סבלנות ואמונה,  משמשים אותי עד היום ואני מיישם אותם במחוזות אחרים של חיי.

​כיום אני משתמש בספורט בכלל ובכדורסל בפרט ככלי חינוכי ותראפי. באמצעות המשחק אני נותן לילדים ומבוגרים, קבוצות כדורסל וחברות עסקיות כלים ועצות לצמיחה, העצמה ומימוש הפוטנציאל הטוב שפועם בהם כיחידים וכחלק מקבוצה.

​מוזמנים להצטרף וללמוד איך לנצח במשחק הרבה יותר גדול וחשוב מזה שמתנהל על מגרשי הספורט.

​משחק שאני קורא לו "משחק החיים".

• ​ההשתתפות מתאימה לכל אדם בכל גיל ואינה מצריכה כושר גופני או ידע מוקדם בכדורסל.

​I was born in 1972, married to Taliah, father of five and living with my family in Moshav Amirim in the Galilee, Israel.

​Since 1988, basketball has been an inseparable part of my life. During my professional basketball years, I was a prominent player and reached exceptional achievements with various teams: The University of Connecticut, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Yerushalaim, Hapoel Galil Elyon and the Israeli National team.

​​In 2002, following my diagnosis with cancer, I thoroughly changed my way of life on many levels.

​Today, I give talks and workshops that appeal to a wide range of audiences of all ages, in which I tell my life story.

​The Game of Life – A Basketball Workshop

​“For me, basketball wasn’t just a game. It was THE game, the game of life. Through basketball, I experienced life in all its glory – successes and failures, expectations and disappointments, fears and hopes, sadness and joys. Through the years it became clear that basketball is a wonderful gift which allowed me to learn about myself and life, and mainly grow and evolve as a human being.” (An excerpt from The Game of Life)

​In a special and unique workshop, which includes a basketball game, Doron will share the story of his career and teach the fundamentals of the game. Through the game, Doron will touch on issues such as coping with crises, taking responsibility, creating change, self-empowerment, determination and perseverance, joy and creativity, patience and faith.

​​It is an inspiring, thought provoking talk. In his own unique manner, Doron uses the basketball game as an allegory for life and utilizes it as an educational and therapeutic tool that can help us win a much greater, more significant game than the one played on the basketball courts – a game he refers to as The Game of Life.

​The workshop is an hour long, and will be held in Hebrew.
