This is a remarkable jump from even two years ago when it accounted for just one fifth of this market. Korea just posted its biggest H1 on record on the strength of two blockbuster deals with Eli Lilly. Japan's largest pharma companies have quietly become major acquirers of Western biotech assets.

🗣️ Paul Zhang, Partner at Bluestar BioAdvisors, will help lead this discussion. Paul is a senior leader in the life sciences consulting industry. Paul has led over 800 engagements serving clients from startups to top ten pharmaceutical companies. He is also a preeminent expert on the rapidly evolving China market, having built a consulting team in Shanghai and Beijing over the last 10 years, advising clients on China market entry strategies and BD&L approaches. Prior to starting his consulting career with Easton Associates, Paul spent six years in the pharmaceutical industry in preclinical research and pipeline strategy roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Knoll Pharmaceuticals and Pharmacia, gaining strong client-side experience. Paul holds an MBA degree from Cornell University’s Johnson School and a M.S. degree in Molecular Biology from Rutgers University. He is also fluent in Mandarin.
