Spicy Sunday: Burn the Script 🔥
Here's something wild to sit with: Most of the stories we're living by, about our bodies, our worth, our desire, our role, our voice, were written long before we got here. We didn't choose them. We absorbed them. From the magazines, the movies, the family dinner tables, the throwaway comments, the centuries of "this is just how it is."
And then we wonder why we feel small. Why we shrink. Why we apologise. Why we perform. Why we struggle to know what we actually want, separate from what we've been told to want.
This afternoon, we're picking up the matches.
Burn the Script is an in-person deep-dive into the patriarchal narratives we've all been handed about being a woman, about sexuality, about pleasure, about taking up space. We'll name them out loud. We'll look at where they came from. And we'll start the work of writing something truer in their place. Your story. Your script. Your terms.
What we'll explore together:
We'll unpack the messages we've been swimming in our whole lives, the ones about how a "good woman" looks, behaves, desires, performs, stays quiet, stays small. We'll look at how these stories show up in our bodies, our relationships, our sex lives, our self-talk. And we'll work with practical tools to start untangling what's actually ours from what we've just been carrying because someone told us to.
This is not a lecture. This is a conversation. A bold, honest, sometimes furious, sometimes hilarious, deeply liberating conversation about the things we were never supposed to question out loud.
The vibe?
Warm. Fierce. Shame-free. There will be realness. There will be "holy shit, I never saw it that way" moments. There will be zero judgment and a whole lot of permission. You'll leave lighter, sharper, more yourself, and probably ready to set a few more things on fire (metaphorically, mostly).
