Join Climate Finance Solutions for an expert briefing on the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) Commercializing Industrial Decarbonization (CID) program, which funds TRL 5–8 industrial technologies advancing toward operational-scale demonstration across energy-intensive industries.
Program snapshot:
• Deadline: April 8, 2026
• Available funding: $6.8M
• Awards: $1.5M–$3.4M per project
• Minimum match: 20%
The program is currently prioritizing projects in two groups:
♨️ Low-Carbon Industrial Heating
• Electrified process heating using electrotechnologies (e.g., microwave, infrared, RF, ultrasonic)
• Zero-carbon heat sources, including high-temperature heat pumps
🏭 Decarbonization of Concrete Manufacturing
• Electrified or electricity-driven carbon capture and utilization in cement facilities
• Alternative materials or processes enabling electrified cement production
• Electrification technologies that reduce fossil fuel use in conventional cement manufacturing
What You’ll Learn
Whether the CEC CID program is a realistic fit for your technology and TRL
Which project categories align with your technology roadmap
What CEC reviewers prioritize in industrial decarbonization demonstrations
How to position your project for credible commercialization and deployment
Climate Finance Solutions has helped clients secure $75M+ from CEC programs and over $1.6B in public funding globally, supporting industrial and climate technology teams from strategy through proposal submission.
