WICIF Small Group Dinners — FAQ 🍷
Where do I find my dinner details?
Check your email - you should have received a note with your restaurant assignment and table details. If you can’t find it, give your inbox (and spam) a quick search, it came from my email directly: [email protected]
Do you have a whatsapp group? Why thank you for asking - here it is! https://chat.whatsapp.com/Hzs9saXsBlB1SSqnH2GZHB?mode=gi_t
Who’s organizing each table?
Each dinner has a dedicated host helping things run smoothly. Huge thank you to our table host team:
Rachel Stinebaugh, Julia Murphy, Elisabeth Feldstein, Janice Tran, Elaine Hsieh, Samanta Jovanovic, Sachi Jain, Cathy Luo, Mira Inbar, Caitlin Walsh, May Win, Taylor Cousin, Leila, Martin, Nora Hennings, and Nithya Rajakumar 🤍
How can we thank the WICIF team for putting this together? Great question! you can thank us, by being on time, having a great time, and remembering to take a table picture so we can document this awesome night :)
What should I expect when I arrive?
Show up on time - heck, show up 5-10 min early!!
Quick round of introductions to get things started
From there: relaxed, conversational, and easy
What do we talk about?
Whatever you want: but if helpful, here are a few prompts floating around:
What are you excited about right now (work or otherwise)?
What’s something you’re looking to learn this year?
A favorite podcast, author, newsletter, etc - we could all use upgrades to the ole content diet
“Give / Take”: one thing you could use help on + one thing you can offer
How are we handling the bill?
Short answer: smoothly and considerately
Plan for $50–75 per person (varies by table and restaurant)
Plan A: even split if things are fairly balanced
Plan B: if there are bigger differences (drinks, etc.), adjust accordingly
Please have Venmo Zelle cash ready just in case
Plan for ~20% tip
Best practice: settle up before leaving so no one is chasing Venmos later
If helpful, the Tab app can scan the receipt and make more detailed splits easy.
Is there a post-dinner plan?
Yes: if you’re up for it, join us at Harlan Records at 8PM for a nightcap. Please join us!! It's going to be fun :)
Anything else I should know?
Just come ready to be open, curious, and kind. That’s the whole thing. We have some last min cancellations so if you want to include a friend please reach out.
Dinners will start at 6PM and we'll convene at Harlan Records if anyone is interested in a nightcap! You'll receive your dinner details separately.
If you are unable to join us, we are sad to miss you! We would greatly appreciate if you could update your RSVP as soon as you are able and by EOD Wednesday April 15th at the latest so we can allow other folks on the waiting list to participate and stay coordinated with our restaurant partners.
We have made advance reservations various restaurants across SF and you can expect per person cost to be ~$50-75. To keep things simple, we ask that folks pay for their own share post-dining.
This event is open to ladies working in investing, finance, energy, infrastructure, sustainability, climate tech, decarbonization, sustainability, energy transition or a related field! Connect with us on LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram and share with friends!
