About Event

Africa is often priced with a premium for risk, and investing here can come with an extra layer of caution. PK Ngunyi's Frontier Madness asks where that caution comes from, and what the story behind it leaves out.

In the book, PK looks at a century of value leaving frontier markets from colonisation and structural adjustment to currency crises and transfer pricing. But he also tells the story through his own family: generations of entrepreneurs who kept building while the systems around them were shaped by extraction.

From there, he turns to the opportunity ahead covering why he sees frontier markets as the next $100 trillion opportunity and what it would take for more of the wealth created here to stay here.

On 31st October, the A&A Lit Therapy Book Club is hosting PK for a conversation about the book.

Bring your questions, bring your copy for signing, and stick around afterwards to continue the conversation with fellow investors.

Get the book: Amazon or Soma Nami in Nairobi

And a kind request: PK is currently working on getting more books by African authors into high school libraries. If you have a book or two you’d be happy to donate, bring it along. We’d love for the gathering to help put more African stories into the hands of young readers. ✨📚
