Collaboration, Trust and EQ in Product Teams
After three editions of the "Product - Engineering Collaboration " mentoring track, I decided to extract the most powerful tools, exercises and concepts in one 3h workshop.
We'll see how trust and collaboration directly influence performance and impact. We'll learn to embrace conflict and differences so we might challenge the status quo, move fast and adapt to disruptions.
What we'll cover:
Overview and general awareness of key concepts like
Westrum’s Cultural Typologies, and what the Challanger disaster can teach modern product teams
Lencioni's team disfunctions, and why conflict is necessary for collaboration and accountability
Psychological safety, and why the courage to dissent without the fear of being judged leads to organisational performance
Non-violent communication, find out how amtssprache (bureaucratic language) allowed nazi officials to perpetuate evil
We'll understand what emotional intelligence is and how it relates to collaboration and communication. We'll practice emotional literacy and regulation, active listening, empathy, and communication.
We'll learn how to collaborate with the "enemy" and how to disolve the "enemy image".
