Hiding in Plain Site: International Public Art Short Film Festival

Discover the stories behind public art.

Join us for Hiding in Plain Site (HPS), an international short film festival celebrating the artists, communities, and ideas that transform the spaces we share.

A global jury selected 12 films from filmmakers around the world, exploring public art in its many forms—from murals and monuments to community-led projects, installations, and creative interventions in public space.

These films invite us to look closer at the places we inhabit, discover the stories they hold, and consider how art can connect communities and change the way we see the world.

Come discover how public art brings places to life, connects communities, and changes the way we see the world!

HPS is building connections between artists, filmmakers, and audiences across borders, with screenings and previews planned in Minneapolis, Phoenix, and Brazil.
