Milan Fashion Week Protest

​This demonstration is apart of Coalition to Abolish the Fur Trade's campaign against Milan Fashion Week and their use of fur on runways. Join us for a pre-brief at: Tacombi, 3930 NE 2nd Ave Ste 100, Miami, FL 33137 , afterward, we will walk to the protest location.

​CAFT's current campaign is against Milan Fashion Week - one of the "BIG FOUR" fashion weeks including London (fur-free), New York (fur-free after a 20 day CAFT campaign) and Paris. Milan Fashion Week continues to allow fur on the runway and is standing in the way of ending the fur industry. For years luxury fashion has enabled the fur industry by making it trendy, so CAFT's goal is to remove it from all runways. So far, five sponsors (including Visa, DHL, Wella, Acqua Fiuggi, and Lutech) have dropped Milan Fashion Week after being the focus of CAFT campaigns. These secondary campaigns are important angles that can put pressure on the main decision makers, like Carlo Capasa - President of Milan Fashion Week, and who have the final say in policy changes.

​A limited number of megaphones, earplugs, and signs will be provided, but bring them if you have them :) Please bring something to make noise and your rage for the fur industry. The fur bearing animals need us!
