Louise Hill co-founded GoHenry, used equity to compete with Big Tech salaries she couldn't match, and sold the company to Acorns in 2023. She's now going through a second exit. She opens Edge 2026 with the decisions behind broad-based equity, the communication calls she got wrong first time, and what she'd do differently with the benefit of having seen both sides.
13.15 - Plenary #1: AI in equity comp: what's allowed, what's smart, what's risky
The technology is ready. The regulation is not, quite yet. Dexter Tang, who leads international equity compliance and operations at Google, and Harry Borovick, General Counsel at Luminance and author of AI and the Law, look at what AI can realistically do across equity and compensation work, and what the law, your governance obligations and your employees' expectations actually permit. Darren Smith, Partner at Vialto Partners, brings the advisor view on where the practical risk sits. Sarah Beddoes, Founder at Innovative Legal, moderates. You'll leave with a clear sense of the applications worth pursuing now and what to have in place before you go further.
